Remembering Burger Becky
Rebecca Heineman, also known as Burger Becky, sadly passed away last year. She was a beloved figure in the gaming community, known for her candid stories and insights from her years in the video game industry.
I enjoyed playing some of the titles she contributed to (Bard’s Tale was one of the first PC games I played), and I’ve always enjoyed watching her YouTube videos where she shared her experiences. Her storytelling was both entertaining and informative, offering a window into a bygone era of game development, when technical tricks were needed to achieve good performance. (I’m still in love with all those old computers, for which programmers had to know the inner workings of the machines)
